I'll probably answer my own question here ... but here's the hand:

Villain: 1755, Hero: 788, blinds 25/50

Hero dealt JJ in CO, Villain raises to 275 from MP, Hero pushes.

I have seen villain show down QQ and KK at two tables, my thoughts are he either has an overpair (15-20%) of the time, and AK/AQ/maybe KQ/AJ the rest of the time. Not only that, but since he will call with these hands I have zero FE.

Should I simply call the raise, and get my chips in on the flop if it looks safe? I'm wondering if I'm risking too much of my stack by calling and folding to a paint heavy board.

I'd fold. You have a decent amount of bb here, and going by your read, this push is either 50/50 or worse for you.

How much did he open for with QQ and KK on the other tables? If we know he opens big pairs for a smaller amount, we can discount his range accordingly.

How did he double up?

His raise suggests a good hand that wants to discourage multiway action. I think hands like 77-TT and some big suited broadways may be in his range as well, which could tip this towards a push.
