Here's my chair (http://www.officemax.com/max/solutions/product/prodBlock.jsp?expansionOID=-536885423&prodBlockOID=537100243) - I love my comp chair and really don't want to break in a new one and don't want to spend the money on another one.

The butt padding is pretty much flat. Other than that, the chair is in great condition. I really don't want to just buy a pad and throw it on top.

Anyone have any experience in putting padding into a chair? Any suggestions on what type of padding I should use?

Go to Wal-Mart, fabric department. Get foam pads. If you don't know anyone who sews, ask the lady at the fabric counter and she'll give your number to some little old lady who will be happy to sew your chair pad for you. Get two or four and save yourself a trip later.

Go to a medical supply store and get a seat cushion made of gel. They are designed for people who have trouble sitting for extended peiods of time.Probably won't be cheap, the last one I bought was around $35.00 but was well worth it as my mom loves it(she plays 2 tables of .50/1.00 on Party 4 hours a day).
