whats are you trying to represent with your overbet? If you were the caller for the flop and turn instead of the aggressor, then it would make more sense because it would look like a busted flush draw. Either way I pot flop and turn so my river bet isn't an overbet. I guess it will work out ok if he has AK, and could be interpreted as you being scared of the A.

I'm trying to represent two pair or some kind of semibluff draw that missed here, and I have trouble putting this guy on anything but AK. Does anyone have a more appropriate range?

He's obv not going to come along with any missed draws, if he made a straight on the turn then so be it but I find that highly, highly unlikely because a straight would play the turn harder with the 2flush out. I also don't put him on a set.

I think he's got AA,AK,QQ,JJ,KQ,KJ,KT, spadedraw?

Of which one has me killed, I'm confident one will call an overbet (AK), and five might call valuebets of $30'ish on the river.

I'm thick in the head though and I really only saw AK

I like the push. With the A hitting the river, I think too many will drop QQ, JJ, KQ, KJ to a river $30 bet with both the Ace and King out there. The overbet might actually get some to call with these hands just because it makes it look like you missed your hand. Also, as you said, AK is calling any bet here.

I hate your pussy bets here. ~Pot on flop. ~Pot on turn. Rep that king. Fun side effect is the money slides in naturally on river. If he has you killed, obv. he gets your money either way.

oh man you had to many chances to build this pot... you never once POTTED the flop, turn... .so you didn't have a push as an option on the river

pot pot pot when you see a draw and you have a set!

I suppose you are weakbetting the flop to induce a raise? Meh....I've stopped doing that because it never seems to work. If they're going to raise a flop bet from you, they're going to raise you whether you bet $6 or $12, it doesn't matter. What will happen is if they raise you because they want to sheriff that weak bet, but they themselves are weak, all your gonna see is a flop raise and that's about it for the hand. So, best to just bet out $10-$12 here on the flop, build the pot early, and hope he has something so you don't have to do stupid things on the river.
