Growing up in the 50's, my parents who were children of the great depression, were pretty frugal and practical. So at xmas it was usually one toy and clothes. Man did I hate getting clothes for xmas.

But one year, my father's business boomed and they loosened up a bit. So that year I got a pool table and a ping pong table. Man was I excited. That was a great xmas. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

My dad did something similar for his dad several years ago. They went in one of those really small planes owned by our friend/neighbor. They said it was incredible.

As for me, my mom printed out a picture of my girlfriend and I on a lake cruise that she had taken off the digital camera and framed it. I didn't have any pictures of her that aren't on the computer so that was pretty awesome.
