Not real happy with the river check but can't see myself calling a Raise so I elect to check it and see how hard the big stack pushes.

Should I be betting this ?

Bet the flop. I'd probably lock up from there though.

Bet the flop and this hand plays itself: You either take it down there or you lock it down if you get met with aggression. A cold call is scary. If you lose CO with a flop bet and you get position it's easier to check or call it down. If it's the CO who calls, I check the turn and make a blocking bet on the river

Why did you check the flop?

Ah, like the flop bet more then checking. Not sure why I didn't bet this flop.

Makes more sense the way you put it. I was guessing too much the way I went.

I checked the flop trying to look like I had a Q.

How would AQ play it?

[/ QUOTE ]I would check that flop if I was holding QQ. Not AQ.

I like the line you took in this hand. This is a pretty classic way ahead/way behind situation where you're trying to induce bluffs from hands that you have drawing slim and minimize your losses against hands that have you crushed.
