I would call the 1/7 pot bet on the river with 2 pair.

[/ QUOTE ]What am I beating here besides a total bluff and why is someone in middle position going to make a total bluff? There are straights, flushes, trips and boats here. My tens got counterfeited by the Jacks. I lose to a single Ace or a single Jack.

I might have a 1 in 7 chance of having the best hand against someone head's up because he is stabbing at it but the guy in the middle in a three-way pot? If I'm ahead once every seven times, I'd like to have some kind of hand I am beating here or a reason to believe (sans read) that someone would make a total bluff from that position with that board.

I agree with NYCNative. He can't beat nearly anything. He should save the chips in this case and ignore the enticing pot odds.

Yea, me too.

you beat busted Qhigh straightdraws, the occasional 8 drawing to the straight (like 88, or 89).
you win half the pot (still 420, so 120 to win 420, 3.5:1 odds on the river to win v's all 10's (except AT),

Those things happen enough i think.

Actually 8-1 with the BB bet - so a split gives you 4-1. Probably enough to call.

[/ QUOTE ]Again, with one person in the pot - or even if the last to act pulled this - maybe. But with so many possible good non-nuts hands that can be out there who will call a value bet it seems quite unlikely to be the case here from the guy in middle position.
