View Full Version : KKK on 3 flush board, how's my line?

Ugly board for my KKK, and hit resistance on the flop. I never saw myself finding a fold on this hand, so I decided to just push the turn. Advice on the hand?

Looks good, I'd put in a little higher numbers however, 2.5 atleast pre, and 5 flop, rest on turn. Only time it gets trickier is when you have alot deeper stacks, but villain doesn't even have a fullstack.

other than being a nit, I pot the flop.

looks like you ran into a straight =[

2.5 preflop? 10x BB seems a little high. I typically triple a raise when reraising preflop, but I recently moved down to $25NL and I haven't determined how I want to handle the minraisers yet.

AT 25nl, nothing pisses me off more/scares me more than a shortie min raising. You see AA-QQ much more than you think, and it drives me bonkers. PF is nitpicking, but 2 might be better. Pot the flop and get the rest in on the turn. YOu played it well sir.

Thanks for the input on the hand everyone.

As for the results, he flopped the ace high flush. I don't think there's any real way to get away from the hand in that situation. Check/folding the turn seems too weak, considering I still might be ahead, and have redraws. Just a hand where you need to pay the guy off.

I think you did everything fine, except your preflop raise is a little low. With KK or AA in your posiiton i usally raise 4.5 to 5.5BB + BB for each limper.

Id push on the flop, odds are he didnt flop a flush. If he did you can still improve to boat.

Raise to $2 preflop atleast, push the flop. I like the overbet push on this flop in this spot.

yeah overbet is good. You will get called by AK or KQ here probably. Mabye even some crazy guy with A of spades.
