Well, I don't know how "obvious" it is. I know it took a long time for that to sink in for me. Even against maniacs, the pot is small, and you have a weakish one-way hand. If folding is wrong, it ain't wrong by much. This hand could get very tricky later on.

[/ QUOTE ] andy, he did not cap, he 3 bet to try to get heads up with a door card smaller than his opponent. i think if you're going to play this hand it's raise or fold on 3rd. Some experts contend that qq is an auto muck, others say you must be sure you have the best high hand. Against maniacs you can never be sure, as he might show three big unpaired cards or aces in the hole. Here's my philosophy vs. maniacs - wait for a premium hand and demolish them with it, playing back at them on all streets. It's hard concede over and over to these freaks, but maniacs play huge pots, so why not wait for a huge hand that wants to play a big pot, and crush them. Andy points out judiciously that this a weakish hand in 8/b.
