Harrah's in East Chicago, IN hosted a wrestling tag team Hold'em match on Sunday. Yes, it was the SPM against a nine man wrestling tag team. There was All in Mike, who broke the world record for going all in. But, in the end he was ejected from the ring with no payday for his world record. The navy bell hop in his Old Navy sweat shirt mixed it up with more variations of a chock hold than Carter has little liver pills. He was a slow roller who got his kicks out of showing one card suggesting he was beat, then after his opponent raised his hand in victory, he turned over the nuts. He played only premium hands that never had a card bigger than a single nine. He terrorized the ring for hours but never could get his stacks over the entry fee. The chips went around the table in a huge circle with only the house being the big winner.

The SPM entered the ring every other dealer. With great bravado raising with big pairs, big cards and high hopes. They took turns coming at him, usually six or seven at a time, it was a tag team match. It was gang calling at it's finest. Hour after endless hour the SPM would jump into the ring and the gang would throw him over ropes and into the land of busted dreams. Where was Lady Luck? She was dating the casino and taking in fifty bucks each round. She had a magic spell on the wrestlers, they would win a match and pass the winnings on to the next winner, in a dizzy spell binding circle. The chips must have had grease on them because no body could hold on to them longer than three seconds.

In the end, after 13 of longest hours, the SPM got even with a little profit. He made substantially less than he did as a kid delivering news papers in the good old 1950's. But, he did figure out how he could have made more money. The SPM realized to late, that he should have played for 26 hours and he could have doubled his take. :-/

It's a sad state of afairs I assure you. However, we have a choice, be concerned about the short run or focus on the long run. I'm so confused I just focus on both. And what can you expect from a 5/10 game. Statistical Cleansings for sure...
