View Full Version : PS $22 -- Another JJ Disaster?

12-24-2005, 12:29 AM
Much in the spirit of my earlier JJ post, I present this situation that's a bit different:

- In hindsight, the flop bet seems way too big, in the future, I'd tone that down to 200-220.

- Like last time, my question is the turn. This situation is different as the turn now has resulted in the potential for a number of "made" hands, and this dude could be trapping. Since I basically screamed 'overpair' to him, do I send out a little tester bet and fold/puke to a check raise? Or do you just check this guy down?

- Check behind on river?

As always, thank you for being the plumbers in my SnG life.

Flop is a little big.

I like check on turn.
I'd bet the river. I think you get called down by most pair hands and i figure he would have bet a 7/diamond already.

Bet the river. You can safely call a check-raise as it is extremely unlikely he has a straight. He might try to check a straight on the turn, but it's not gonna happen twice. So when he checks again he's unlikely to have you beat, so you should call.

A total donk might try to c/r a straight on the river though I guess. I dunno.

Don't call a river CR.

He won't CR bluff you.

Ooh you're right. I didn't see the flush possibility. If he turned a straight he could easily check it scared of the flush, then go for a check-raie on the river.
