Why would you get steak from a seafood restaurant? Is it any good?

any good is questionable...

However - OPEN on XMAS EVE - with an hr. to spare after getting food choices from coworkers - yes -

at least one of them will be getting seafood, methinks.

what do you do if you don't mind me asking, dealer?

I am a network engineer for a rather large institution - due to some of my other extra-curricular pursuits I'd rather not say which one.

but the money flows 24x7 there, and the network doesn't sleep for no one...LOL -

This also explains the obscene number of OOT posts I tend to make from Wed-Fri at about 7pm-7am - LOL

The first time I worked on Christmas day I was 16. This year will make it 18 years in a row working on Christmas. I will be insulted, criticized, preached to, and belittled. Yet it will be the best day of the year imo.

Most people are much nicer on Christmas than any other day but there are always a few that have a bad day and take it out on everyone else they meet that day. I think it is funny and I plan on working the next 50 or so Christmas's if I can. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Stuey,

Let me guess your occupation.

You work in a movie theater?

I am working Christmas. Thankfully very few people are playing card games on the Internet today so I can catch up on all the work I didn't get done this week. :$

this and Thanksgiving are two of our quietest days of the year...

it's a 12 hr. snoozefest, really - take a few calls - nap - take a few calls -

And I get 6 floating holidays I get to use like vacation days, so that's sweet too -

Nope I wish though that would be sweet. I own a small c-store. I'm not forced to work I choose to. I'm kinda a freak if you have not noticed. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Yup worked out great for me. Like any job some days really suk but I would think that is normal with almost any job. I have owned other businesses in the past but I have found I enjoy just focusing on one. I’m not an entrepreneur or a businessman just a storekeeper I enjoy it now that I have realized that is what I am and stopped trying to be something else. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

I just started messing with avatars 4 months ago or so in my spare time mainly because I wanted a cool avatar on here. Before that I had never tried anything similar. Google is a great teacher I’m sure anyone here could learn in a day or two how to do it if they were as freaky about them as me.

I am getting sick of the avatars already I could not imagine doing similar work for a living. Editing movies, creating special effects and such sounds exciting but it is tedious I am sure once the novelty wears off. I do however drool over the idea of getting to play around with some of the top end hardware/software they have out there. The stuff they use to make "Toy Story" and other newer similar movies would be interesting to mess around with. But probably boring when you have others telling you exactly what to produce.

This is all that matters and if it means you have to work Christmas' then hell who cares right. I'm a movie theater projectionist and am begining to realize (like you) that it's more then just my job. So I've workked the last five Christmas', and like you been berated or felt sorry for by all the idiots who don't understand if they didn't come to movies on Christmas we wouldn't have to be open. But like you I look forward to working many in the future as well. Merry Christmas all
