Pokers $30 + 3, 2 table Sit n Go
It's within the first 5 or 6 hands, blinds are $10/$20
Stacks are all about equal (1,500 or so).
I'm dealt pocket TT in UTG + 1.
UTG calls. I call. UTG + 2 folds, UTG + 3 calls. Folded to the button, who raises to 80.
SB folds. BB calls. UTG calls. I call. UTG + 3 calls.
Flop is 5 7 3 (two of a suit - matching one of my tens but this backdoor flush possibility is very minor and didn't enter into my calculations or decision much).
BB checks. UTG checks. I bet 300. UTG + 3 calls. BB folds. UTG folds.
Turn is another 7.
I check. UTG + 3 bets 100. I sense a weak hand, possibly a flush or straight possibility and of course am thinking re-raise at this point.
By now there's about 1,000 in the pot already so any bet I make half the pot or more may as well be all-in.
I move in, he calls and flips over 33.
Again, the tired old refrain - what should I have done differently?
With an overpair to the flop of course he could have had a bigger overpair and be slow-rolling me - I decided it was unlikely and I honestly thought I had the best hand. Also, if trips over trips is very rare, isn't trips over an overpair almost as rare?
Was my turn check questionable? I was being careful since he could easily have one 7 and be ahead.
Was there anything much I could have done or was I just unlucky and cunningly trapped?
