I believe the level of knowledge and posts have risen dramatically in the past 4-6 months. 6 months ago, when I was posting a lot and then stopped for a bit, it could be really frustrating how much total nonsense was flooding the forum.

No, really, there are just a few more regular posters that seem to really have a clue.

I wish I could just download your knowledge into my head. That would be cool. /images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Alright, here is the thing about this forum....everything that you could possibly ask has been asked (the archives are a beautiful thing here.) There really is only so much you can do in a structure like a sng. Luckily, there are so many people who make terrible decisions that play these things. If you want to get creative, go play nl ring or a mtt. If it seems like there is often a lot of nonsense that goes on here, it is likely because all of the content has been posted lately.

There, I said it, now I will link to this post everytime says that this forum sucks this week.

There have been tons of horrible days in the last few months. But I think very recently the forum has been better.

It's quite hard to search for specific situations though. Things like SNG power tools let us give definitive answers in many situations too, which I think helps a lot. I've found the forum very useful - to a point.

Of course, I've managed to lose 45 buyins at $20 SNG in the last week, so I guess I need to read some more posts...

this just asks for a "good" bad-beat post /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

It would be helpful if you actually named the posters you think are adding value these days. I'm sure they wouldn't mind being commended on their skill, and it would help us noobs to keep an eye out for their posts.

curtains,

The mods have helped a ton....also I think you may be better at avoiding the crap. I used to read like every thread.....now I generally manage to avoid a ton of them, /images/graemlins/smile.gif>

I don't want to get into name calling, but it just seems like some of the smaller stakes guys have more of a clue nowadays. Some still don't /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Actually, when curtains mentioned better low limit posters, I thought of you. I'm happy to say I still suck.

I'm doing my very best to drag down the average. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Seriously, the cool thing about this forum is that people at all levels have something to contribute. Most higher level players probably don't want to fart around with my noob questions, but other low-level players are free to respond.

From my perspective the moderators do a great job of letting lower limit guys work through problems and only step in if someone offers really bad advice.

This forum has shown "marked improvement" lately.
Big Limpin' hasnt been around much lately.
But, i mean, my silence cant be the WHOLE reason, can it?/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Anyways, i'd just like to echo what yugo said...about knowing what posts to peruse. I also used to read most all posts, not so much anymore, and yes, i'd say the posts i do read now are better than before, but for the obvious reason. Like, when i open 2p2 now, i barely scan the post titles...now i just look for names. And sometimes open random posts and just scroll that page looking for names.
