View Full Version : Old & New Bonuses at Pokerroom the same at 2/4

I've been trying to justify why I keep playing at Pokerroom given its high rake, but I discovered that bonuses are about as easy to clear under the new system (10x) as they were under the old system (7x) while playing 2/4 full ring. The stats that follow come from Poker Tracker.

I played 6,807 hands of 2/4 under the old bonus system (7x; 1 PP for $1 or higher rake, 0.5 PP for rake between $0.50 and $0.99). I earned 3,426.5 player points. This means that the average player points per dealt hand is .503. I need 1400 player points to clear a $200 bonus. Thus I would need to play 2,783 dealt hands (1400 / .503).

I played 7,722 hands of 2/4 under the new bonus system (10x; 0.7 PP for every $0.10 of rake). The average rake per dealt hand (not per flopped hand) is .983. That means you earn .688 PP per dealt hand. You now need to clear 2,000 player points for that same $200 bonus, so that means you need to play 2,907 dealt hands (2000 / .688).

All of these calculations depend on the accuracy of the player point per dealt hand statistic, which I think becomes more relevant the more hands you play.

So, you do end up playing 124 more hands for that same $200 bonus under the new bonus system, but the difference between it and the old system was probably not as bad as you thought. Of course, you're paying over 50% higher rake than you did under the old rake/bonus system too.

I am also looking at the fact every 10,000 points you can redeem a bonus of $150.

But you are right the bonuses clear at lightning speed and i usually play 3/6 and 5/10

Might be a dumb question, but would this be correct for Eurobet also?

Was thinking about depositing there and was searching to see how quick the bonus could be cleared ar 2/4.

I should add that when I said "as easy to clear," I didn't mean that the bonus itself was easy to clear at 2/4. I should have said that the new bonus system "required the same amount of play" as the old bonus system.

I think the new PR bonus (10x) is average at 2/4, but not as easy as Poker Stars (2066 dealt hands for $200). Interpoker is quite good at 2,100 dealt hands for $200. However, the Party Poker 10x bonus is tough (3,944 dealt hands for $200). Of course 2/4 is one of the worst limits to play at Party if you're looking to clear a bonus.

While PR's rake is one of the worst in the industry, they've been handing out the reloads like candy lately. $500 (over three reloads) in the past month, right?

I don't play at Eurobet, but if the bonus is 10x, then the rates of clearance should be the same. And lozen is right--play about 14,500 dealt hands at 2/4, and you can claim an additional $150 (5x) bonus using player points (this promotion ends soon, though).

but the beats man, stay clear of that network itīs insane I cleared the Eurobet promotion and quads, sets, and flushes were all around. And thereīs a magic hand on the network 93 it always makes two pair on the flop.
