estes and the Rocket

On his afternoon radio show, Tom Tolbert interviewed Rob Dibble (former nasty boy) and asked him about the Mets/Clemmons situation. dibbs related that he was shocked that estes didn't hit him, and emphatically reiterated that it was Estes' job to hit him. Tolbert then asked about the fine that Estes may receive from the league. Apparently, the NL president stated that rules were broken and a fine may occur. When Tolbert asked what rules could have been broken when Estes didn't even hit Clemmons, Dibble thought for a second and responded "Maybe the rule against embarassing yourself?"


Estes should have whacked him. Roger was ready for it, but didn't get it, and now he's off scott free.
