Tried to order the Dell 2001fp, but if you can believe it, Dell was out of stock and didn't know when they would get more, so I went w/ the Samsung.
It took me forever to figure out the configuration as you had to download the monitor drivers from Samsung.com, but I'm pretty inept that way.
I also thought I could leave my original monitor plugged into the original card, but now I have both plugged into my new EVGA G-Force 6800Gt video card.
The finished product is amazing. the 20.1" inch makes my Dell 15" flat panel look dinky, and the picture is amazingly crisp. In fact it has a greater contrast ratio than either the comparable Dell or Sony.
All in all, if you want a good alternative to the 2001fp, the Samsung is that.
