I don't mind hand 1, probably fold hand 2 pf.

Grunching...

1. Good fold IMO

2. Raise pre-flop to 60-80. Fold to a re-raise.

Hand 1: I like your play fine.

Hand 2: I also like to limp AJo from this spot at this blind level, but with the intention of calling a 3-5xBB raise. This gives me "more" information (imho) than opening with a raise and being called by 1-2 callers. And I don't mind a large multi-way pot with that hand either (unlike if I hold AA-QQ).

I don’t like the line of limping with AJ LP with the intention of calling a raise. Sure, you have more information if you are raised, but to me that information is saying I don’t have the best hand and I should fold.

Hand 1: I play it like you did.

Hand 2: Sometimes I limp, sometimes I fold. Fold to the re-raise.

Edit: Hand 2: I thought here was LP in this hand, being MP2 I fold every time.

i defintiely don't raise AJo from MP2 in level 1. i think limp fold is fine, if not just fold.

Hand 1 is good, hand 2 fold preflop.

Harrington on Hold'em vol 1

"In 3rd position... I'd play AJ with a mixture of 70% raises and 30% calls. In 4th position I'd play AJ the same way..."

and he describes this as a conservative opening strategy.
