View Full Version : Worst push you have ever seen (LC)?

$15+1.5 SnG on Doyle's Room.

Down to 7-handed, I'm big chip leader with around 5.5K. Most other players have stacks in the range of 1.5 to 3K. The shortstack with 900 chips is a superdonk who calls pre-flop with anything for any amount, hoping to hit something. Starting stacks are 2K for each player on Doyle's Room (blinds start at 20/40).

Blinds at this level were 50/100. I open with 10-10 in MP by raising to 400. Superdonk pushes for 500 more chips from LP.

All others fold, and I insta-call 500 more chips with my tens.

Superdonk shows 7-5 clubs! The first two cards are paints, but the last 3 cards come 9-8-6! So I had a good laugh about it.

Note the awesome folding equity he had over me when he pushed for 500 more chips with 7-high!

This is not a bad beat post BTW. Just thought I'd share a laugh about his awesome push. An orbit later I got my revenge when his A-8 failed to improve against my A-9. /images/graemlins/smirk.gif

So...he was short...felt desperate...and pushed mid-suited connectors?

I've seen this all the time... He half-expects you to call...but hopes you have only have two high cards (non-pair)...but in case you DO have a pair...suited connectors (or even one-gappers) are his best defense...

Plus if you raised trash he would have an ounce of FE...

I mean...knowing that you had 10 10 it seems ridiculous...but I see this play somewhat half-regularly...

There are millions of worse pushes than this.

Actually, this is the epitome of a bad beat post, just by saying its not a bad beat post doesn't make it so.
