NL 100, I'm in the bb with 72o. several limpers around, i check.

Flop comes 8 /images/graemlins/spade.gif7 /images/graemlins/spade.gif2 /images/graemlins/heart.gif (suits irrelevant to my hand), pot is about $4.5, my stack is about $130

I bet $4, MP1 limper (no real reads, has me covered) minraises to $8. Player to his left (utter, complete idiot, half fish half maniac, about $40 in his stack) minreraises to $12. I reraise again to $24 to isolate with fish if possible (probably should have been more, but so it was). MP1 goes ahead and pushes, fishy fish quickly calls, and I fold, assuming that i'm probably way behind, with a slight chance of being a little ahead.

Thoughts?

Standard Fold. Your raise needs to be bigger if your trying to isolate.

I agree with Taikunin; however, given that Mr. Fish is so short, anything over a min-raise doesn't give him a chance to call. If you make a proper iso-bet he is more likely to fold out with a draw or AK or whatever he had. Given this I think your min-raise was fine, and your fold was very standard. A flush draw with overs, a set, better two pair are all ahead of you.

No preflop raises so I'm guessing someone limped in with a 22?

MP1 had JJ, fish had A8c. Turn J, river 2. A curious result, as it were.
