What's better for "home security" in an apartment, assuming you can only pick one:
1) Big dog (german shepeard, doberman, etc) but not "professionally" trained as a guard/attack dog
2) Monitored security system
3) 12-gague
The apartment is inhabited by a girl and a guy, roomates (not involved with each other), and personal safety is more of a concern than protecting possessions.
