I post this hand here and not in HUSH because I like you guys better /images/graemlins/wink.gif

Hero BB with 8/images/graemlins/diamond.gif6/images/graemlins/diamond.gif

Most stats are from shorthanded tables.
UTG: 38/31/1.6 hands: 106. Laggish, likes to give action
SB: 51/33/1.4 hands: 195. No particular reads, just the stats. Seems typical and a litte passive

Party Poker 30.00/60.00 Hold'em (4 handed) link (http://www.darksun.lunarpages.com/poker/)

Preflop:
UTG raises, 1 folds, SB calls, BB calls.

Flop: (6.00 SB) K/images/graemlins/heart.gif, 6/images/graemlins/spade.gif, 2/images/graemlins/spade.gif (3 players)
SB checks, BB ???

Should hero:
1) bet flop
2) check flop and c/r if UTG bets and SB folds, call if UTG bets and SB calls
3) check flop and c/r if SB folds, otherwise fold
4) something else?

Against a a better and a caller I dont think I have the equity edge to make a raise profitable.

P.S.: I did not say I didn't like HUSH people /images/graemlins/smile.gif I just said I like the HS people more /images/graemlins/smile.gif

bet because you will get people folding if they missed, haven't got a spade, and also you may well have the best hand. I don't think you want to give a free card with 2 spades on the board. If you get raised I think you can fold it easily enough as your kicker is mediocre. Can't see 55 or 67 check-raising here. And if they were, you have to call down all the way which really isn't worth it.

I was 90% sure that UTG will bet though

Thanks for all the votes.

When I analysed the hand after I played it, I found that betting the flop here is probably the best option.
