I need to get to 50K points to be a gold member. Right now I'm at 24K. Should depositing 13K into Party Poker do the trick?

You need to keep each deposit in for 7-8 days in order to receive the points. You'll need 7-8 $500 deposits to be able to do this once a day.

I thought you could do multiple deposits in one day and get credit?

If you're referring to the cruise prize:

"As soon as you have earned 25,000 Regular Party Points"

Only REGULAR points qualify.

Is there a huge benefit in becoming a gold member?

No, but I'm sure there will be such promotions in the future, and being a gold member means you earn points at twice the rate, regular or not.

True. but you also have to earn that many points every quarter to remain a Gold memeber, don't you??

I can do 35K in 3 months, because its the same as 17500 as a blue member (double points).

I've been churing 3K through party every 8 days for the past month or so to make sure I get enough points to become a gold member. I haven't had any problems doing this. As long as you are actually playing at party in between cashing out and depositing things will be fine. Also if you want to deposit more than 10k in a day you'll have to give your social security number to pay pro or fax them a copy of your driver's license. I don't know how long that takes because I've kept all of my transactions under 3K in a day.

Hmm, I'm at $8500 in deposits for today...I'll probably push them to $9500.

do bonus party points have any value other than for freerolls?

not really, which is why this tread is kind of comical. even if they offer straight cash back at 0.2-0.3c per point (and that's a BIG IF), all this churning will yield roughly $100-150. if you have that much bankroll to throw around, surely there something more profitable you can do with your money and time.

You may find it comical, but I'm sure earning points at twice the rate will come in very handy in the future. One need only look at the Party til you Cruise promotion going on right now. The difference between having to play 15000 hands of 10/206max and 30K hands to get a 12000 prize package is huge.

The deposit points are bonus points and are not doubled. Only your regular points are doubled.

Right. He's saying he can play enough to earn 17,500 points at blue, so once he gets to gold it won't be a problem for him to stay there since the points are doubled.
