So I have been on a binge with GTA 3. Today I was driving and I passed a car stopped at a red light and went through without really thinking about it. Has this happened to anyone else, and is this proof that GTA should be banned?

I have not had this happen to me. And I'd classify it as "proof that you're retarded"

Yes, it's happened to me. I don't act on it, but playing the game definitely breaks down a lot of the barriers that normal people have set up that make us obey laws and not kill people.

OMG YES!! No one ever ran red lights before GTA was around!

What annots me is that I get really upset when there aren't sub machine guns hidden at various points around my neighbourhood.

I once got a hooker and banged her in a dark alley. She got out and I killed her.

sure enough, I got my money back. Thanks Rockstar!

I never actually did anything like the OP but when I used to play GTA I could tell that my mind was making a connection to the game's environment while I was driving in real life, and that by itself was enough to scare me into thinking this game is not such a good idea.

I actually think that GTA has improved my driving. I generally recover from skids much much quicker than I did pre GTA.

i was in an airport after i had been playing vice city for like a week straight. i saw some soldiers and the first thing that came to my head was a vision of me mowing them down with a machine gun.

i took like a week off from the game after i got home.

You should move to the US. Guns are everywhere here.

You get in skids enough to be able to tell?

Oddly enough, the only effect that GTA had on my driving was that I became a lot more ballsy while driving in reverse.

One thing I know is that if I ever tip my car on the side I can use a combination of acceleration and reverse to make it land back rightside down.

If you shoot someone through the windshield, their body will fall out as the driver's door opens with no head attached. Not always the case in reality.

if you want to make real life driving more like GTA, use your camera phone (if you have one), turn it on and drive your car looking through your phone, it looks like a video game

Heheh jesus somebody will probably do this now.

I can just see a split screen of someone doing stunts while in a small window you see him looking down at his lap and watching his cell phone, never looking up.
