about 5600 raked hands for 244. Is this deal horrible or just me?

Wierd numbers: for 7756 hands I get $322. I just joined like yesterday though, so I only have to play another 2586 hands. I play 5/10 SH.

i'm still waiting for mine as well.

I've moved down it limits since my recent losing streak....and I haven't been playing there very much at all this month because they haven't offered me anything (although I did clear the $100 reload).

but it seems like this is just a little dribbling of bonuses while most VIP-ers are still waiting.

Most of the offers seem to be in $0.04/hand range which was what I got for November ($1250 for 30k hands).
It's not that great an offer but it's not terrible.
Lots of players were in the $0.02/hand range (a few were closer to $$0.08-$0.10/hand...but I think most of those were 15/30-ish type players).

Offering $0.04/hand to a 15/30 player is pretty insulting though imo.
Same for a 10/20 6-max player.

It's not bad for a 1/2 to 2/4 player...and probably not terrible for a 3/6 player even.

Anyway, I'm still waiting.
Sigh...maybe something decent for January.

augie and I will likely be off to pokerstars soon anyway when they get their VIP thing going.

word, i just called them and they said my offer was 7348 hands for $150... but then they told me i had already played 5301 so that's really only 2047 to go. so they've been keeping track, but they won't tell you you have an offer unless you call them.

does anyone know if these deals are negotiable?

Did you get this offer via a pop-up, by email or did you get a call from the VIP department? Just kinda curious because I haven't heard anything, and I just got an email from vip@partypoker saying this months offer would be for a chance to win a seat on the cruise with no mention of any sort of cash for hands deal.

12-21-2005, 01:43 AM
I just got off the phone with a rep and they told me nothing was being offered over the phone and that I would get an email with in the next few hours if its not already there. Guess the cash for hands is for the middle limit and up. I play 2/4.

others reported that they got e-mails saying that points-for-a-cruise thing (or whatever they're going to call it) would begin on Dec 20.

Then some said "Dec 20 or 21".

So I'm guessing/hoping that the offer will be coming soon.

but I'm not playing high enough limits currently to even have a prayer at winning unless they were to structure it REALLY strangely.

Last year I needed to play at 10/20 6-max on 4-tables to earn the points quickly enough.
I don't think any 3/6 players (and possibly not even 5/10 players) would have a chance on the promotion if it's structured ANYTHING like the one last year.

I got an email saying that I would receive on offer on the 20th. I emailed them about an hour ago to inquire why they missed their latest deadline and got a response (fairly quickly) that I would get a offer within 24 hours and that it would be a points for a cruise offer. I'm not holding my breath on this one.

I just got my cruise offer for December. First 30 people to 25K hands from Dec 24 to Jan 3 get to but a cruise for 50K points.

There is absolutely no chance that I will even attempt this. The time between Xmas eve and New Years Day should be spent with family and friends not sitting in front a computer 20 hours a day trying to race others that will almost surely cheat. I am sure that of the top 30 at least 10 of them will be teams that play almost around the clock.

The other problem with this promo for me is that even if I was the one of the first 30 to get 25K regular points I would not win because I don't have another 25K points in my account to pay the 50K for the promo. I have played the last 2 $100K tourneys for 20K points so have less than 10K in my account.

Enjoy

they emailed me, telling me to call them because they have an offer for me. I called them and they gave me this. I 4 table 10/20 6 max. This deal seemed really [censored] though. and it was 56XX hands. It was some strange number that I forgot.
