I'm calling this. What are the reads on the player? What is your table image? His range could be pretty large. I think you are coin flipping, but for the odds you are getting you gotta call this and hope he doesn't have AK.

Call call call. Like rockin said, you're getting 2:1 with AQ at a short table.

You will easily see KQ, AJ, AT, 44+ (flip time).

Considering your raising from the CO and BB is SS I would figure he thinks you are trying to steal with a mediocre hand like AT, KJ, small pair. But this depends on your read of the player.

If he was average and has done this all in with 2 paint vs a late raise before I would tend to call. You are almost getting 2:1 on your money. If he was playing very tight maybe not.

Questions to ask:
1. Pot odds? <2:1
2. What would you push short stacked from the BB in this situation?
3. What hands has he pushed before from this situation?
4. Do I want to win more money or gamble to win the tournament?
5. How good are the other plaeyrs? Will they knock each other out before I run out of chips?

Overall I would call.

There is 3700 blinds/antes, 6000 of your money, and 17210 more for the SB raise all in. That totals 26910. You've put in 6000 already and need 13210 to call so you are getting better than 2:1 odds.

Actually, the correct totals are 13110 to call with 27010 in the pot for 2.06:1

If I didn't have a good read, I'd have to call expecting the worse.

Of course, a lot would depend on the payout structure and how comfortable you were on your read.

Easy call, and your title got my hopes up that stars added higher buyin 20 table tourneys /images/graemlins/frown.gif

Of course, he turns over AK and takes the pot, the pot odds made this a pretty quick call, but the table was fairly solid, I knew i was beat and beat well. I did think though, whats he pushing with here? The best I could hope for was 10s or J's but more likely AA KK AK to which I was a big dog and none of which im 2:1 to beat although KK is pretty close. Thanks for the words of wisdom guys but next time I'm more cautious.

most people will push with a range that AQ is pretty decent against here, getting 2:1 you call all day

One thing I would add is that I think a raise of only 3x BB is a bit on the light side for these final tables. I've been on a few where you would see 4-6x BB raises pretty often. So, if your table was similar, I would definitely think that your villain puts you on a steal, and that would be another consideration in getting my money in.
