Who would have thought ?

It is obvious to me that the U.S. team coach is very under-rated. He had studied the seemingly unstoppable Mexican game very deeply. The continuous, short- and medium-length passes had as their pivots two Mexican players, whom the American coach had marked man-to-man throughout the game. The Mexican game unraveled. (When he substituted one of the markers, the substitute came on the pitch and went up straight to his mark and parked himself alongside him!)

The next team up against the U.S. will under-rate them at their peril. (Feller is not stupid though and Germans are very meticulous in their football.)

Cyrus,

". . . meticulous in their football."

That's "feetball" here.

Its too bad America doesn't really appreciate the World Cup. I'm now in Seoul and the celebration after beating Italy was something to behold.
