View Full Version : Is this turn fold weak? (AK)

With the pot odds I was getting is this turn fold to weak?

MP1's preflop cap, flop check, turn raise confused me badly so I folded. what sort of hands do fish do this with? I guess monsters.

Both opponents could be clasified as passive fish.

Mp1 is 55/3.75/0.87
UTG is 45/5/0.64

I like a fold on the first turn bet. Why do you think he should've called the turn?

Dont I have enough outs/pot odds to improve against UTG? With his numbers I doubt I am reverse dominated with something like A10 as he raised preflop although he might have pocket 10s. He probably would have bet out with AA or KK on flop.
Or are you saying I should have folded because preflop capper was still to act behind me?

Looks like a good fold to me. You've got only 4 clean outs, and hitting one could still leave you with second or third best hand. One of them will beat your two overcards even if you spike top pair on the river.

Just fold it.

if you had 6 outs and could get a free showdown some percentage of the time and the player behind you won't overcall often, then the call might be razor thin. since you don't know the Ac/Kc are outs, or what the capper will do, it's best to fold.

In this situation, if you called the first time, wouldn't you almost for sure want to call the raise since you are closing the action. You have more odds and no chance of a raise. If you thought the hand was good enough to call the first time, shouldnt you call the second bet. I agree that folding to the bet is better but after calling the first bet, shouldnt you call the second bet??????
