View Full Version : Religion willl be illegal in the future......

I believe all religion will be illegal/banned in the world in the future, I'm thinking possibly 300 to 500 years out.
As human science gets more and more answers to our genetics
and man becomes capable to creating body parts without fail
via stem cell research, and when we get to the point in time where a politician can run for office without believing in God......(and get elected), then it will be coming together.

The current terrorism, most wars past, and wars we have'nt fought yet, were all religion based [censored].

We don't need religion, it's for the weak minded. It's for the followers, the sheep. It's for people scared to die.
It's for [censored] wimps.

Mark these [censored] words: THERE WILL BE A TIME WHEN THERE
WILL BE NO RELIGION.

But in all likelyhood, man will destroy itself first.

Glad you put a disclaimer in.

It may be outlawed or banned but it will be around in someform. Religon has been apart of every culture since the beginning of man. it is our way of coping with the unknown. no matter how far we advance there will always be questions that we will not be able to answer and religon will fill that void.

Well let's see...

You've confidently made an outrageous and prophetic assertion with no evidence or reasoning to back it up.

It is unfalsifiable, given the time frame.

You openly derrogated those who disagree with you, and made a pompous claim of the superiority of those who share your beliefs, and make promise of a better world when your agenda is furthered.

Congratulations, you have just demonstrated everything most of us dislike about religion.

Is Ray Bradbury still alive? Maybe he can write a book like this scenario.

I'm not really sure what it is exactly you are strung out on, and I don't care. You sound like a true idiot.

All I did was post what I believe will happen. It will take
hundreds of years. Religion is nothing but man-made crap.
The world will never know peace till religion is non-existant.

Hitler's world would have been scary, but in due time, history will prove, that his world would have worked.
Hitler would have already eliminated over 90 percent
of the world's living threats by now.

The destroyer would have destroyed present day destroyers.

I very much doubt it. Does not seem a stable situation.

I think half way situations are much more likely.

I would not equate human civilization with the human species.

No way in hell this is gonna happen. Not yet.

I mean what else, but a moran thinking of it as a humourous way to shock/troll, could write something like that?

Why wait 500 years? Get started on banning religion yourself! The 1st Amendment is pretty overrated anyway, and I'm certain that with your persuasive grass roots message, you could manage its repeal.

Try looking at an atlas of the world. See the bits of land that are not part of America. Have you ever wondered what happens on them? Maybe they have politicians as well.

Maybe the people on these other bits of land think the details of the American election process is as important as you obvious consider their election process is.

Why is it so difficult to think that a presidential candidate will never be elected into office if he
states he does not believe in God?

Why is this so hard to digest?

Why all the rambling prose?

LOL, come on brainiacs.......who was the last athiest
we elected into office as leader of our country?

Just what I thought, ramble on fools.

I hope you're right (not about the illegal part but about the no religion part), but that's fairly unrealistic. We have solid evidence now that all religions are ridiculous, but that doesn't seem to change much in the world becuase...

The current terrorism, most wars past, and wars we have'nt fought yet, were all religion based

Let's first ignore the complete illiteracy of the above quote.

Then let's just take the wars the US has fought and see, what *most* were fought over.

- The American Revolution - basically a tax revolt
- The War of 1812 - we used the excuse that the british were forcing American sailors into their service
- The Indian Wars - territory
- The Mexican War - territory
- The Civil War - economic issues & slavery, some might say consolidation of federal power
- The Spanish-American War - Again, territory
- WWI - I don't see religion here
- WWII - I don't see a religious link here
- Korea - UN action to stop aggression
-Vietnam - I don't think we can call anti-communism a religion
- Desert Storm - UN action, like Korea
- Iraq - There's a religious aspect to this on their side.

So, I guess you have a strange definition of *most.* Now, I usually am in agreement that religion has caused moe pain and suffering in human history than anything except communism, but a post as stupid as yours had to be addressed.

Good point, Kurn, son of Mogh! I would add to it that wars have to paid for, so who writes the checks. Usually, wars are financed by selling bonds to rich people. So why do societies write checks? Because they want to make money (or keep their possessions from being plundered). So I would say that every war, and if not every than the vast vast majority are caused by economic interests.

Of course, that doesn't mean that the cannon fodder won't be given a religious speach to pep them up a bit...

People like you amuse me.

Norman Schwarzkopf has made many references to wars being fought by troops marching into battle bearing the Cross
of Jesus. All through this current Iraq clusterfuck, both Bush and Saddam has made numerous references to God.

You posted the root cause or reason of wars you listed.
All were fought with strong religious conviction, if not
by the individual, then by their host country.

Anti-communism not religious based??? ROFL!
