Ok, this table was ridiculously maniacal, I think we were about 3-4 hands in and 2 people were already out. UTG was raising most every hand preflop. UTG+1 had a beat by UTG and they were sparring in the chat.

Against maniacs, I shove this preflop and take my chances.

Yea I woulda shoved it pre-flop too without a second thought if people were raising as much as you say.

I was on the edge between calling and pushing preflop. I took my line because I figured if I just called, I would be able to easily get away from the hand when any A, K, or Q flopped while still having 685 chips to make something out of later.

You don't know that an overcard hit anyone, which is one of the reason to push pre-flop so you don't outthink yourself. The other reason is to try to drive out villains holding some of those overcards.

In hind sight, pushing preflop would've been the best play. I was happy as a boy can get when they flipped their cards.

UTG: 10h10s

UTG+1: Ah10h

Oh well, cold decked, and at least the overlay from UTG still left me with 665ish chips to donk off.
