"My Pattern Mapper is messed up..."

After getting 3 outered on the river, here is a conversation I had with a tablemate on stars.

Him: Man that was a bad beat, 3 outer!
Me: Yeah, I guess my Pattern Mapper is messed up.
Him: What's that?
Me: It tells you whether stars is going to give you a bad beat soon or not, it reads the software patterns.
Him: Really? Is that allowed?
Me: Yeah.
Him: WOW, where did you get it?

I'm speechless....
