I would have mucked to any action on the flop, but when only the button bet I decided to make a move.

Button 55 for flopped set, turned full house

Should I have folded on the flop, turn, river, or is just the way it goes sometimes?

on the turn, go into check and call mode. the MP player has ruined your heads up attempt but your hand is well worth a call.

You played it fine. Button could have played it like that with any A or Kc and if he had the flush, you had a redraw to a boat! I would probably have checkraised the turn.

This is very weak thinking - shame on you! You flop a good hand - be happy - assuming the nuts are out there is a common and costly mistake.
