View Full Version : AK, getting raised on the turn

I haven't seen villain being too active. Could this have been him hitting a straight on the turn? Seems like a lot of hands beat me. What do I do? If I call the turn I'm going to have to call the 7 left he has on the river.

On a drawless board with TPTK, typically AK improved, I tend to pot the flop and check the turn, then bet the river. I'm looking to get two value bets in, but not get stacked by a set.

As played, thats a tough spot to be in, if he is fairly loose I'll call and check/call 1/2 pot on river.

At this limit, your hand is rarely good when you get minraised on the turn. Board is very drawless, and he doesn't seem to care that you could have AK/AA. Fold.

What about K /images/graemlins/spade.gifx /images/graemlins/spade.gif? It seems to fit the bill for villain here as well. I'm not sure if this happens enough to justify a call though.

FGators,

please manually converter the hand.

Based on the stack size it looks like this is a NL25 game. $1.5 to go PF.

Flop: 3/4 pot.

Turn: What do I do? If I call the turn I'm going to have to call the 7 left he has on the river.

Folding looks good. I'm not too interested in playing this hand versus this ragged flop. If you do call, you can hope he checks the river. Fold to a push.
