upstate ny/new england cabin recommendations

I'm looking for a weekend rental cabin somewhere within easy driving distance (<= 8 hours) from nyc. things that are important: secluded, working real fireplace, very basic kitchen (not necessary but nice), beds.

does anyone have any recommendations?

Lake Placid or Lake George Area

Lake George area is pretty close and very nice. Lots of little "ponds" around there too.

also anything on the eastern edge of NY near albany is nice, views of the Green Mountains are really cool too.

I have no specifics because I'm more a camper then a cabin goer so I can't lead to you to any places that have the specifically

Rental market for the south Berkshires and eastern NY. Some nice places up here, but it ain't cheap. If you see something interesting PM me and I can tell you more about the area it's in.
