Cool Book

I'm in the middle of reading a really good book. it is called Let it Blurt. It is a biography of the late, great rock critic/journalist, Lester Bangs. it has a lot of detail, and insight, and stories. it gets into the soul of the subject. there are also some really amazing quotes in the book. there is a link at the bottom to some info and promo stuff for the book.


for those of you who have seen the movie Almost Famous (i loved that movie), Lester Bangs is the older (as opposed to the kid who is 15 in the movie) critic portrayed by Phillip Seymour Hoffman. an excellent performance, and the main reason i wanted to read this book.

Sounds like a good book. I remember the byline Lester Bangs, but don't remember any of his specific reviews. I've been curious about him ever since seeing the movie. I wonder if any of his stuff is archived on the web...
