Hi all,
I just completed a site that is like a poker affiliate/ poker directory web page. The topic I would like to post has to deal with the fact I suck at web page design etc. And need input on changes that would make it easier to use and more appealing (basically just a better site). I have no idea where to go for advice, so I've been asking friends but they're not being that helpful. I would like to post the site on here so people can look at it and tell me what to focus improvements on but the mods are not allowing it, they say it's spam.

Keep in mind this site has NOTHING to do with rakeback, it's similiar to bonus whores site but focuses on poker.

So my question is, in your opinion should I be allowed to ask for help on my poker site ANYWHERE (computer tech help or any other spots) on this forum, or are the mods right in saying NO because of spam or other reasons or for the fact this isn't what 2+2 is designed for?

I will NOT GIVE OUT the sites name because so far it has been ruled as spamming and I don't want to be banned.

Yes or No?

Thanks for all comments ahead of time.

sorry guys, I just realized I posted this is the wrong forum, can a mod move it or something, SORRY, (see how bad I suck with computers, I'm an idiot)

Um, to avoid tripping off everyone's spam detectors, you might solicit PM's of interested 2+2er's, who may take the time to look and offer advice.

And if you think about offering a shirt as an incentive, though, you better damned well send it!!

That's actually a REALLY good idea, thanks man, I'm going to talk with the other "half owner" and see what we come up with. (he's a 2+2'er too)

Put the URL in your profile and under bio ask people to PM you if they have any suggestions.

do a google - there are places that will give a free website critique and advice on site design, navigation, etc.

thanks for the advice guys (did a google search and on my way now). What do you think about the question posed, yes or no? Should posts like that be allowed?

Bonuswhores focuses primarily on poker. They have forums for casino bonuses as well, but the site itself is geared towards poker.

I would lean towards no. I think that if this were allowed there would be a lot of spam disguised as "please critique my site" posts.

I'm not saying that this is what you are doing. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Sorry, I worded it wrong, bonus whores is about "bonuses" on playing, my is on the "skills" of playing.

That's a good point. I guess if it was always a real post it would be no problem, but I bet a lot of people would fake it as that just to get exposure.

(mine is a true question, cause I SUCK! at design)
