Okay, the myspace and chuddo trainwreck are gonna be 1st and 2nd, obviously, but I'm doing this in the interests of any threads that have been forgotten or lost in the grind that are worth bigging up a bit. I'd also like to get some concensus on the order of favourites.

I'll run this a couple days, then do a bigass poll for a few more...

The problem with some of those is that the threads are so huge that if you don't catch them right when they start, it's impossible to figure out what's going on. Someone should go through each and provide a synopsis or something for each one of these threads.

this is pretty much the truth.

my space and rl pics may be thredzilla's and decent threads but "post of the year" is something that takes it to the next level, not just how many replies it gets. clearly the big three are 5 year olds (i still talk to people about this), MS paint (you can always come back to it for a gem), and chuddo/trainwreck (because of the absolute pwnage that ensued within it as yet to really be matched). that is my order as well.

youre right there were many sites. some of the other sites referenced 2+2 others did not.

there was a thread questioning the OP and i think the OP proved his case that he was the original author. dates of the original posts at sites were posted. there was one obsure reference from a marijuana magazine that was somewhat similiar from 10 years prior that would have been damn hard for him to have seen. after reading the thread i was satisfied.

I would also like to echo the sentiments of a previous poster who booed the Myspace thread. It is a great thread, but a bit too cumbersome and more of an insider thing. Other than that, good list. I'll be considering my vote.

If you want revolutionary and extending to other boards, I'll take Chuddo's over 5-year-olds. We almost got a lawsuit over that one and all the threads got locked, it spilled over into myspace.com in a way that made myspace.com a major subject around here probably forever more, was hilarious, was earnest, was entertaining on multiple levels, had some humiliation for multiple parties, degenerated apparently into some threats made by weirdos ... I mean, what could reek of OOT more than that thread?

I'd put the running between Chuddo's thread and the MSPaint thread, which I thought got boring fairly quick but was incredibly funny at certain points.

I think that Chuddo's thread should win, if only because it helped spawn the "Banging chicks on MySpace" thread (which in turn spawned a copycat "Olivia" Myspace).

On top of that, the Chuddo thread still gets referenced by posters in other threads at least once a day. It has become a solid part of OOT's lore. Many of the other threads that have been nominated will be all but forgotten by this time next year. The Chuddo thread will live on.

Also, for the sake of creating a definitive list, Leatherface's thread (I think that was his name, anyway) about finding his 14 year old daughter's self-made porn video that she created for her boyfriend should be on the list. It definitely got a strong reaction.

Jihad's revenge trip report is another one that generated strong reactions. It definitely held my interest for a couple of days, anyway.

A lot of these were "you had to be there" threads. I remember staying up until the wee hours of the morning following the shawn_p threads. Chuddo thread had a similar feel to it in that the twists and turns got better and better. I am hesitant with that thread because it turned ugly towards the end. Pokerjo, for those who remember "her" was an awesome thread because it shattered the most widely held fantasy in 2+2: that this hot chick plays poker, and is good... and loves nerds too!!! Fish have forums too, was nice, but also got a little ugly.
