Wondering if I should have pushed the flop, although it wouldn't have made a difference to the outcome. I just couldn't lay down my flush draw + gutshot straight :-p

Not really. Its a gambling call...but not really a BAD one...

It turns out you only had 12 outs for 45% ish to win the hand with ... 1.5 to 1 on your money... (I do that right?)

Won't the villian show you top pair or an underpair to your jacks a fair amount of the time? That would bump you to 15 outs and the stat favorite.

Its a gamble, but not bad overall...

The blinds are tiny portion of your stack. I don't see the purpose of this call, please elaborate.

you've got 20xBB. you can definitely find better spots than this.... 1.53:1 on your money.

it comes down to this: do you want to be flipping coins for your tournament life when you are otherwise in very comfortable shape?

You said what I was thinking....I said it poorly. NH.

p.s. I hate folding Straight+Flush draws and would probably call if I thought I had 15 outs. Its an admitted leak.

of course, folding straight+flush draws isn't necessarily a leak... it just is in this particular case.

I like shoving on a flop with my draws, not calling an all-in. Big difference!

True...but is calling with 15 or more outs really such a leak?

Me either. And the villain has an almost even stack too.Bad.
