Villain had been @ my table for only 20 hands or so and seemed a little loose, as he had already been involved in 5 hands. Comments on Hero's choice to raise preflop w/ 77 are welcome.

My main question is.. should I push or raise the pot (1/2 my remaining stack)?

Raise the pot for 1/2 your stack. Get those chips in and get the rest in on the turn.
