View Full Version : Is this river play too passive?

12-17-2005, 08:07 PM
Who raises here and who just calls? I usually would raise, but I felt like the only hand that is going to call a river raise is a FullHouse (?).. Also i think I bet too small on the turn/river, what's a good bet size here? I think my bets tend to be on the small size to try to keep them in the hand, but maybe I should just be going for better sized bets that they will still probably call. How would you get max. value?

Stack like that before the flop theres no way I'm not raising the river to at least 1200. If he insists on pushing more chips in the pot then you have a tough decision. Unless hes a passive uberdonk hes not limping any hands that beat you, unless he called to the river with 77.

I probably raise before the flop too to try and pick up blinds and represent a bigger hand. You already know your post flop bets need to be a little bigger but I'll reiterate, bet at least 180-200 on turn and 300-400 on river. I'd probably fire at the flop too but I've been playin super LAG recently.
