Just curious if anyone is doing this? I'm interested in what you like to do with regards to the overlap issues.

Scuba, do you use a PV or other display software?

Download the beta. I haven't had any of the random crashing issues in a week. I play 9 tables on one 2001FP and 1 table along with IRC/2+2/AIM on the 19" CRT. I'm probably going to try to get that program that makes beta remember a size and find out the size I can fit 10 on both monitors nicely.

I did it for a while, with 4 tables on the primary monitor and six tables on the secondary monitor, with four tables touching each corner and two in the middle only barely visible when the four corner tables were up top. Worked out okay, but I felt a little too harried to make the extra $8/hour worth it.

i 10 table with 2 20.1"s. I put the 5th on each screen in the middle hasnt been a problem

Personally I prefer 9 on one screen and 1 on the other screen with my 2+2 window, itunes, aim, etc.

I have a laptop running at 1900X1200 and a 200l. 4 tables on the 2001 and 6 on the laptop with a bit of overlap. I like this a lot more then smaller tables an no overlap

i just did this instead

10 Tabling with three 2001fp's

when I do ten table though, after a while I think my game gets worse. I end up just going through the motions and missing all the read based decitions. It's even worse in limit.

What kind of video card will I need on my 9300 laptop to hook a 2001FP up to it?

This is what I do. The beta has been very stable for me, no problems at all.

Basically any new laptop will be able to do it. As long as it has this:

Yeh you should be fine. On my old dell 5100 the resolution was only 1240X1086 or around that and I had no problem running another monitor with 16X12.

OK, thanks for the help, so my 9300 with the base cheap video card that comes with it will be ok for me?

(I don't have it yet, it is in the mail so I am not sure if it has that proper connection).

It should be ok. Did you get the screen upgrade? If you did it's possibly the sexiest item ever made.

But of course.

Yes the 9300 is absolutely fine to plug even two 2001fp's into. I have both of mine but you can't use the laptop screen at the same time of course.

Keep in mind, there is likely to be 12 tabling soon.

tigerite

Yeah, but then tables will be resizeable and I'll just have 6 on each monitor or something.

swiftrhett

Maybe it would be cool to turn 2 2001fp's sideways and run 6 on each resized.

lol.. it just might work.

This sounds much better than running 6 per monitor landscape with all the wasted space.

btw, switched from vga to dvi with my 2001fps and the quality improvement is incredible. Try to use dvi with big lcds whenever posible.

I have one of mine with the DVI cable, and the other is vga. Have to admit, I haven't noticed the difference.

I used to have a dell inspiron 5150 and then hooked up another old crt to it. After a couple of months, my backlight on my laptop screen went out. So I'm getting a new inspiron 6000 and just want to know if hooking up the other monitor was the cause of the backlight going out or just that I got unlucky??
