Party Speed Tourneys.....

No. Not MTT speed tourneys. Below the Special STTs and Steps STTs is a new tab called "Speed" STTs. Says blinds increase every 5 mins.

They only have 5/1s going right now, Im in one, we'll see what happens...

No it's not. There is no way a normal sng gets one hand per 30 seconds. MAYBE when it gets 3 way or heads up.

I wonder how these will affect $/hr comparisons. They have $11s running now too. They're not filling up fast though. I'm gonna play a couple and see how they go.

Nevermind about the $11s. Those were for limit sngs. Phew, good thing I noticed that in time to unregister.

It seems like having a time limit on such a short stacked game could be exploited in the later levels. On the bubble you could stall and wait for the blinds to go up before the other shorty who's UTG posts.

Aye good point, I was only thinking of the later pushbot stages.

I can see one problem with these though as people will surely use delaying tactics to make someone take a bigger hit from a blind etc. And yeah, the $11s are limit. Heh.

I think these could be really good if they add 22s and 33s. Late game is where most of us shine anyways.

Yea, I guess this format allows the early game to move faster and the late game to move slower.

In the end the total time per Sng is about the same at 40 mins.

for a taste of ultra speed you could try ultra tubos on ultimate. they have 5.5, 11, 22 even 55 i guess. 22s take 10+ min to fill but before you know it everybody is 4BB.
