I'm making this hand up so hopefully it will be interesting enough. First hand of a 22-33. You're dealt AKs in MP. Folded to you and you raise to 75. Folded to the button who calls.

Flop: J/images/graemlins/heart.gif9/images/graemlins/club.gif4/images/graemlins/spade.gif
You make a standard continuation bet of 125-150. Villian min-raises. What do you do? I know some people think this is an easy fold, but I feel stupid folding to min-raises. Just feels super weak.

Yes, I do hate it, and it's why I don't always cont bet a flop like this.

Ok. But check/folding seems even more weak. And check/calling seems too dangerous.

Bah dangerous indeed. It depends on the size of the bet and all sorts of things whether you continue or not with the hand.

This is the first hand.
You missed the flop.
Your OOP.

Unless you have specific notes on Villain...Let it go.

Easy fold. He probably has something, and he's probably not letting it go at the 22/33s.

I'm always confused by this, too. Maybe we should play it to the end the next few times it happens so we can see what they have. It might be +EV in the long run.

Or what if the flop is 9/images/graemlins/club.gif3/images/graemlins/heart.gif4/images/graemlins/diamond.gif. Now it's pretty obvious to the villian that your bet is a c-bet. But you can also be kinda sure he missed the flop too. Does this change anything?

Not for me.
