This felt REALLY weak.
What should I do with the flop with one player still to act? I called, hoping to see either a dimaond or ace for cheap. Board is pretty dry otherwise.

Is this a raise w/o another player to act after me?

There are two players to act after you on the flop.

You played it fine, missed the flop and only lost $3 getting great odds on your money for when you hit your hand, with all the loose players calling.

AK is not a guaranteed win (I win with it only about 55%).

i would raise that flop.. betting 1/8th of the pot is weak as hell.

i can kinda go either way on this. seat 7 looks like a pretty agg player. i like raising the flop because that bet right there could be becuase hes putting you on AK/AQ. it looks like a feeler bet, and i dont want to give up the lead in the hand just because someone fired a turd bet into that pot. if i do call this on the flop, im raising the turn against another weak bet.

another line would be just calling like you did, i mean, youve got 2 other to act behind you on the flop, so you get to see what they do for relatively cheap, and you only have A high. given thoes odds, a call isnt bad at all.

yup - theyll most likely fold, but if they call or raise you can either reevaluate or fold respectively.

This is a leak. OP's line is good.

it's not a play you use all the time, but with seat 7 being a LAG he's going to be betting this flop with any 2. his bet is so little that he is either trying to pump up the pot with a draw, he's got a real hand or he's got [censored] and hopes we fold to his $1 bet. if we raise we can give him incorrect odds to call for his draw, and fold if he comes over the top at us.

granted with more people to act, this indeed does seem like bad advice, but i think we can isolate him HU with a raise.

hoopster - how much would you be willing to call here?
$2? $3? more?

If this pot is heads-up, I am bombing that min-bet every time - no question. The problem is, there are two players to act after you. If one calls you are really in a spot on the turn.

Well, we don't really have a hand here, so I don't think we want to isolate. We would definately be hoping for it to fold around.
