Since I'm not first to bet on the flop, even though I'm PFR, I can't cbet. I don't think opponents bet means anything, but am unwilling to call with overcards. Is this correct?

Huh but you checked on the flop or am I missing something? I think you should cbet this flop and represent the overpair. If he plays back, let it go.
