Hand 2:

Raiser is tight and a multitabler. Thoughts: Not worth calling just for set value. If 3 under cards come I have gone broke like this many a time when he has showed QQ to AA.

Thus, I folded.

1. I'd push or fold, based on recent events - fold.

2. Call and play the flop.

Do you think it's that bad to take the 5:3 odds and just play the hand. Granted, you're out of position, but JJ is a pretty solid hand to fold to one 4xBB raise when you've already got a quarter of the bet in.

I think I call and play to get all my money in on a flop no higher than J.

The first one is raise or fold, since it would be so difficult to play out of position. Based on your read, it sounds like you're probably either way behind, or a coin flip, so that's not promising.

The second one you could call, since you're in position, if you have a good line on how MP2 will play after the flop, assuming he would make the same raise with hands that don't beat you. I don't think it's a bad fold though. If I were MP2, the most likely hands you'd be seeing would be AQ, AK, or a high pocket pair, and if UTG didn't bet the flop (assuming he didn't fold to the raise), I'd more than likely bet the flop hit or miss, so you'd be hard pressed to play JJ, unless you hit the jack-pot set. So this doesn't like a bad fold to me either.
