View Full Version : $22: AQo UTG in Level 3

I follow the super tight until level four philosophy pretty strictly. How does a solid 2+2er deal with AQo UTG in Level 3 with a typical stack? Here's an example:

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t50 (8 handed) converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)

SB (t2030)
BB (t735)
Hero (t730)
UTG+1 (t305)
MP1 (t1745)
MP2 (t545)
CO (t1145)
Button (t765)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with Q/images/graemlins/heart.gif, A/images/graemlins/club.gif.
Hero raises to t150, 2 folds, MP2 calls t150, 4 folds.

Flop: (t375) Q/images/graemlins/spade.gif, K/images/graemlins/club.gif, 4/images/graemlins/heart.gif (2 players)
Hero ???

I fold this because you're UTG.

I check on the flop. He has 395 left after the pf call.

If he bets when checked to here, I'd call.

If he checks behind, I'd back off and look for a place to fold this.

Obviously, I'm not a solid 2+2er, but thats my 2 cents.

Yeah, I posted this because I think playing AQo from UTG prior to Level 4 may be a leak in my game.
