Title says it all. First trip to LV in about 5 years. Staying for 4 days at the end of January and have a choice between the Venetian or the Mirage. Cost is not important, company is picking up the tab. Any opinions. Thanks in advance.

there's no poker at the venetian. also, it's kind of far away from the action up there. but it is a beautiful hotel.

Absolutely stay at the Venetian. And drink at Red Square.

the real choice should be Wynn or Bellagio. reconsider your options.

Venetian rooms are the nicest in LV IMO but if youre like me youll never be in it, so just stay where youre gonna play poker.

yep,,,,easy walk to any of the big three poker rooms,,havn't stayed at the Wynn yet but the Venetian by far has the best rooms and best selection of great food delights,,upgrade to the Master suite if money is no object,,,simply maaaavelous.

Not hardly. There is a walkwway bridge out front of the Venetian that takes you over to the front of the Mirage by the hotel valet entrance. It's right accross the street.

You could not be more right.

And the answer is Wynn.

The venetian rooms are *much* nicer, but if it was me I'd stay at the mirage just for easy access to the poker room. "a block away" or "across the street" in vegas can mean a half-hour walk. Last year my company put me up in the venetian for a conference and my room was in the new towers that they built. It literally took me 20 minutes to get from my room to the conference room in the same hotel (I had to take 2 elevators and cross the entire casino floor).
