($33) Fold 99 to minrz or try to resteal?

No read on villian.
Blinds 150/300
5 players
I'm on tallstack with about 3000.
UG raises 600 of his 1500 stack.
I'm next with 99.
The 2 shortstacks have about 800 chips each.
Big blind has about 1500 after posting the blind.


What would you do? I figure its best to push or fold since calling would probably pot commit me. If i push, i can't really see him folding since he already bet off a big chunk of his stack and he'd be getting about 3:1 odds to call himself all the way.

Help?!?

BTW, i know some people are gonna say easy fold. What hand then would you want to resteal with? JJ+? AK? Thanks.

Assuming he open pushed, this is what sngpt gives you:

Pushing: 22+,A2s+,A3o+,KTs+,KJo+,QJs
Calling: 77+,AJ+

Calling: JJ+

Not sure how much credit you want to give him NOT open pushing to start with. Indicative of a big hand? How about one that WILL fold, just trying to pick up the monster blinds?

Unless you had some compelling evidence that leads you to believe he can lay it down, I muck it. With your stack, you should be finding plenty of opportunities to steadily increase your stack (like next hand maybe when both mid's are in the blinds).

Your push probably won't be enough to make him fold as he will be getting the right odds to call with anything half decent......1010+ AQ+s is probably the right range to repush here......as you will have a lot of exploitable spots later gained by folding here....
