Opening the front panel of a Compaq 5000

I am attempting to replace the hard drive in my Compaq 5000. Because of where the drive bay is situated, I need to open or remove the front panel of the desktop. I cannot figure out how to do this. There is a tutorial on compaq.com, but it shows a different model of the case. Mine does not open the same way as the one in the picture. Can anyone shed any light on this?

I cannot find my manual, so if anyone has a copy of the manual for a Compaq 5000, and can quote the relevant section, I would certainly appreciate it.
