change your opponent's cards so that he hit the flop.

Fold preflop or only raise 4xbb instead of 5xbb.

Bet the pot flop.

Bet the 2/3-the pot on the turn.

Push the river if he is still in the hand since the pot by now is about the size of your stack.

Check after raising pf when you flop trips is pretty obvious, it is much harder for people to put you on a hand if you fast play everything.

I like to bet half the pot on the flop...It looks like a continuation bet and gives him odds to call the flush draw.

Usually you're only gonna pick up the pot on the flop with an obvious monster draw. And you're rarely gonna win unless the other guy has something like AJ-AK in which case it doesn't really matter what you bet.

Everybody on the planet checks trips. Villain knows this. Make a CB on the flop. With any luck Villain will see it as a steal and come over the top on his own steal, then you nail him. Otherwise, be happy he gave you an extra t80 PF.

This was what I was thinking as well. Even if you were raising with KK, QQ, or JJ - wouldn't you put in a continuation bet on this flop to get some information or take down the pot right here? A check after a 5X raise on this flop just screams monster.

Either way, you probably don't collect any more of his chips.

In fact...this thread is complete rubbish.

Btw, I fold this preflop but meh.
